DAY 1. DEPART MELBOURNE / DUBAI
This evening, we have our bags packed and ready for our late evening flight for Dubai with Emirates. Sit back and relax as not long after you’ll arrive into Dubai.

DAY 2. DUBAI / CASABLANCA
After a short transit in Dubai airport, we reboard our flight bound for the amazing cultural city of Casablanca. We anticipate to arriving shortly after noon and upon arrival, your friendly tour guide will pick you up for a quick drive around the city. Today’s visits include the old medina, Hassan II Mosque and a drive on the beachfront. Afterwards we check into our hotel for some much needed rest and dinner.

DAY 3. CASABLANCA / RABAT
After breakfast, we make our way to the impressive Notre Dame Cathedral for a visit. Afterwards, we drive towards the city of Rabat. Upon arrival, visits to Hassan Tower, le Mausolée Mohamed V, The Royal Palace, the Gardens and the kasbah of the Oudayas.

DAY 4. RABAT / MEKNES / FES
After breakfast in Rabat, we continue to Meknès, the Ismaélien capital city. Once here, visit square El Hdim, Bab Lakhmiss, Bab Mansour – one of the most beautiful Gates of the country, the royal stud farm, exterior view of the Mosque and the monument of Moulay Ismaïl. After lunch depart to Volubilis, the old roman town and the Holy town of Moulay Idriss. This evening, check in to hotel with dinner.

DAY 5. FES
Today, we enjoy a full day tour of Fes! Highlights today include the Medina or “Fès El Bali”, a visit to the Medersa Attarine, Nejarine Fountain, Karaouine Mosque, one of the oldest universities of the world. After lunch, a photostop at the court yard of the Royal Palace and finally we get a chance to visit a local business that specialises in the manufacture of leather and tapestries.

DAY 6. FES / CHEFCHAOUEN
After breakfast we head towards the township of Chefchaouen, a holy city founded at the 15th century by a chérif – Sidi Ali Ben Rachid. The city is whitewashed in different shades of blue and is spectacular on its own but with the surrounding mountains, it’s a sight to behold. Here we will visit the medina and spend a bit of free time to walk the small streets of this beautiful city and discover local shops and café. At sunset, we drive to the Spanish Mosque for a stunning panoramic view of the city. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

DAY 7. CHEFCHAOUEN / TANGIER
Enjoy a relaxing drive up north towards Tangier, the coastal town of Morocco, a place of strategic importance to the Mediterranean and the gateway to Africa. Visits today include the squares known as Big and Small Socco. Later in the day we also visit the medina and Kasbah before settling into our hotel for the night.

DAY 8. TANGIER / GIBRALTAR / TORREMOLINOS
Breakfast at the hotel, and then we transfer to the port ferry crossing to Algeciras. Before we officially arrive back in the Spanish soil, we make a detour to Gibraltar – a unique British Territory located in the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. We then proceed to the Spanish coast enroute for Torremolinos for our overnight stay.

DAY 9. TORREMOLINOS / GRANADA / JAEN
After breakfast we leave Torremolinos to Granada – drawn by the allure of the Alhambra, many visitors head to Granada unsure what to expect. What they find is a gritty, compelling city where serene Islamic architecture and Arab-flavoured street life go hand in hand with monumental churches, old-school tapas bars and counterculture graffiti art. After lunch, we visit the city centre for a orientation tour. In the afternoon we depart for the township of Jaen for our overnight stay.

DAY 10. JAEN / TOLEDO / MADRID
This morning we drive towards Toledo, one of the most typical looking towns in Spain. With Moorish, Jewish and Christian influence, Toledo is well known for their handicrafts and for their sweets, “mazapan”. We will start with panoramic tour around the walls, a walking tour (including entrance to the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful in Spain). In the afternoon we proceed to Madrid.

DAY 11. MADRID
After breakfast enjoy a full Day tour of Madrid. Visits include Paseo de La Castellana, Plaza Cibelles, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Bullfighting Ring and a tour to the Royal Palace (subject to opening hours or an alternate Palace will be visited) in the afternoon.

DAY 12. MADRID / SALAMANCA
We bid goodbye to Madrid this morning and make the drive to Salamanca, fondly known as the “Golden City” because of its honey coloured sandstone. Today’s visits include a quick visit to the University of Salamanca and then to the old centre town which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. A nice relaxing walking tour will bring you to the beautiful Plaza Mayor and the numerous cathedrals and historic university buildings to see as well.

DAY 13. SALAMANCA / PORTO
Today, we leave Spain and drive westerly towards the city of Porto, Portugal. Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and is rapidly becoming one of Europe’s most respected tourist destinations. When we arrive to Porto, enjoy a relaxing river boat cruise on the Douro River. Enjoy a bit of free time in the city centre before dinner.
*Note – if cruise not available then a tour then we will replace it with a tour of a Wine Cellar.

DAY 14. PORTO / COIMBRA
A short drive down south of Porto brings us to the city of Coimbra – the medieval capital of Portugal and it’s beautiful historic core cascades down a hillside in a lovely setting on the bank of Rio Mondego. We will start off with a tour around the area of Mondego with visits to Santa Clara Convent, Almedina Tower, Fado house, Coimbra University. Then we drive to Vale do Inferno for a panoramic view of the city and drop into Jardim Botanico which is the Botanical Garden in Coimbra.

DAY 15. COIMBRA / SINTRA / LISBON
After breakfast, we start a new chapter in our discovery of Portugal and its surroundings. First up is the picturesque town of Sintra which is set amidst the pine-covered hills and once here, enjoy a walking tour with our local guide through the city which includes a visit to the Moorish castle called Catelo dos Mouros. Afterwards, we drive to the famous Cape da Roca which is the westernmost extent of mainland Europe! We then continue our drive towards the capital city of Portugal, Lisbon.

DAY 16. LISBON
This morning after breakfast enjoy a tour of Lisbon city. Today, we drive along the Expo Section which is a great place to discover the creativity of some of the best known architects of the world. Black Horse Square, Belem Section, stop by Jeronimos Monastery and visit of the church, Belem Tower – we encourage you to try their famous Egg tarts! In the afternoon we complete our visit to Lisbon with a drive to the Monument of Discoveries and then Sao Jorge Castle.

DAY 17. DEPART LISBON / DUBAI
After relaxing breakfast, we finally bid farewell to Lisbon and board our flight to Dubai with Emirates bound for Dubai. Once on board, sit back and relax – it has been an amazing journey!

DAY 18. DUBAI / MELBOURNE
Your overnight flight arrives into Dubai after midnight and not long after, you will reboard for your homeward flight. We hope you enjoyed this tour and hope to see you again!
