DAY 1 MELBOURNE / HANOI via BANGKOK Depart for Hanoi via Bangkok with Thai Air on flight TG462 departing at 11:30 pm at the Melbourne International Airport. Your flight will arrive into Bangkok at about 6:00 am and then connect-up with Thai Air flight TG560 departing at 7:45 am for Hanoi. The group should arrive at around 9:35 am in Hanoi. After ground formalities, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After an early dinner, enjoy Hanoi's famous Water Puppet Show.
Overnight accomodation: Sunway Hotel ( Soon after breakfast, the group will be transferred by coach to enjoy a city tour with visits Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, President Palace, Ho Chi Minh House on Stilts, One-Pillar Pagoda, Hoa Lo Prison (also known as Hanoi Hilton Hotel during the Vietnam – America War), Jade Mountain Temple at Restore Sword Lake, the old quarter consisting of 36 commercial streets, etc. After lunch, depart by coach to Halong Bay. DAY 3 HA LONG BAY / HANOI Today definitely is the highlight of your visit to Vietnam. In the morning, enjoy a boat cruise on Ha Long Bay. Admire the beautiful landscape and also visit three fabulous Grottos. Seafood Lunch will be provided on board. In the afternoon, return to Hanoi with a stop at Dong Trieu Ceramic Village. DAY 4 HANOI / HOA BINH / HANOI After breakfast, we proceed to the town of Hoa Binh by coach. Here we visit the Hoa Binh Hydro Electric Power Plant and Muong Village. DAY 5 HANOI / HUE This morning we make our way to the airport for the domestic flight to Hue (VN241 departing 6:10am). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred for a city tour which includes visits to the Imperial Citadel, Museum of Royal Relics, etc. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on Huong River (Perfume River) to visit Thien Mu Pagoda- the Emperor’s tomb of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Mausoleum. Soon after breakfast, proceed to Da Nang by Overland coach with a stopover at Lang Co Beach and the top of Hai Van Pass. Enjoy a city tour of Da Nang to visit Cham Museum and Marble Mountain, etc. Overnight accomodation: Bamboo Green Hotel ( Soon after breakfast, depart for Danang by coach and on arrival the group will board the Vietnam Airlines flight VN351 departing at 6:00 am for Nha Trang. The group will get a chance to rest and recoup upon arrival. After lunch, proceed to visit the Ponaga Cham Tower, the Long Son Pagoda and Dam Market, etc. Overnight accomodation: Yasaka Hotel ( A whole day in Nha Trang includes morning boat cruise to Mun Island for snorkeling to see coral and then back to Tam Island for the beautiful beaches. We then head off to Fishing Village for lunch and then walk through the Village to the Aquarium. Return to hotel in late afternoon. Enjoy some free leisure before having your dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight accomodation: Yasaka Hotel ( Continue to enjoy your free time to fully explore this lovely beach city. After lunch, depart for Phan Thiet -the capital city of Binh Thuan Province. En-route the group will get to viisit to the Dragon Fruit Farm, Cham Temple and the most beautiful beaches of Mui Ne. Overnight accomodation: Sea Lion Beach Resort ( Soon after breakfast, depart for Ho Chi Minh City by coach and visit Sand Dunes and Punk Hill etc along the way. After lunch, we continue our journey to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight accomodation: Windsor Plaza Hotel ( Soon after breakfast the group will travel by coach to visit My Tho – 80 Km Southwest of Ho Chi Minh City, one of the bustling towns in the Mekong Delta which offers riverside views, evergreen fruit orchards and extensive rice paddy fields. You will be cruising on boat and rowing along the river to see for yourself the peaceful activities of the local people. You can also sample tropical fruits, coconut milk and honey tea while enjoying the beautiful folk songs. Lunch will be provided at the very famous restaurant with local cuisines. After lunch, visits to the ancient Vinh Trang Pagoda and Dong Tam Snake Farm, etc. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for your free activities. On arrival and after all ground formalities, you will be met and greeted by our tour guide and proceed on a sightseeing tour which includes visits to Tonle Sap Lake by boat. After dinner, check-in at Royal Angkor Resort and Spa Hotel or similar. In the afternoon, Angkor Wat Temple and then witness a sunset at Bakheng Hill, etc. Enjoy a delicious “International Buffet Dinner” with APSARA Dancing and Singing Performance. Soon after breakfast, proceed by coach to Cu Chi Tunnels, well-known during the war of Vietnam in 1960 & 1970s. The tunnel is a 200+ km underground network of tunnels and only 65 km away from the centre of Ho Chi Minh City on the Northwest. On arrival, we visit a family-run enterprise making rice paper and you will have a chance to make it for yourself! After lunch, return to Ho Chi Minh City by coach. Upon arrival, the group will visit the Reunification Palace, War Crime Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, China Town and Thien Hau Temple, etc. In the evening, enjoy a boat cruise along Saigon River with Live band Music performance and dinner. DAY 17 HO CHI MINH CITY / MELBOURNE via BANGKOK Free day until transfers to Tan Son Nhut International Airport for your Thai Air flight TG557 departing at 8:50 pm for Melbourne via Singapore. Once we arrive into Bangkok at 10:15 pm, we then connect up with Thai Air flight TG465 departing at 12:15 am for Melbourne. (B.meals on board) Your overnight flight should arrive into Melbourne at about 12:05 pm today, thus to conclude the whole journey.
