Tour overview

Departure date(s) – 19 September 2027

**Please note that Aurora viewing is subject to favourable weather conditions

This trip covers very different climates, so you will need pack in layers.

Yellowknife will be cold, even below freezing at night, so bring a warm winter jacket, gloves, a beanie and warm boots — especially for aurora viewing, when you’ll be outside after dark for a few hours.

Through the Rockies and higher parks like Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon, mornings and evenings are cold and afternoons mild, so keep a warm layer handy. By the time you reach the desert areas — Zion, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Laughlin — it turns warm to hot, so pack lighter clothing, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen too.

Wear comfortable, well worn-in walking shoes, as there’s a fair bit of walking on uneven ground. You are welcome to bring along a foldable walking stick if you wish.
