Day 1 - DEPART HOME/HANOI

Just after midnight this morning we board our direct flight to Hanoi with Vietnam airlines. Upon arrival into Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, your friendly local guide will be waiting to welcome you. After a quick breakfast, you’ll explore a local market before enjoying a mesmerizing Water Puppet performance, a cultural treasure of Vietnam. The puppets are beautifully crafted and the performance set against the water gives a unique glimpse into rural life. After lunch we will try to check in early at our hotel. Tonight, you'll savour a buffet dinner by West Lake, which promises a delightful culinary experience. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 2 - HANOI

Your day starts with breakfast before exploring the historical Ba Dinh complex. Visit Ba Dinh Square, then see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and the One-Pillar Pagoda, which dates back to the 11th century. Next, delve into the history of women in Vietnam at the Women’s Museum, recognized as one of Asia's top museums. Afterward, enjoy a cyclo (pedicab) ride through the Old Quarter's 36 streets, visiting Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple along the way. You’ll return to your hotel for another restful night in Ha Noi.

Day 3 - HANOI/PU LUONG

Early morning, you will leave for the stunning Pu Luong Nature Reserve, known for its lush landscapes and traditional villages. After arriving, we invite you to relax, enjoy the scenery or even take a refreshing swim at Hieu Waterfall, where you can immerse yourself in nature. The afternoon features a visit to see traditional water wheels used by local farmers, followed by a peaceful bamboo rafting experience on Cham Stream, surrounded by serene countryside. At sunset, you’ll check into your hotel in Pu Luong for the night.

Day 4 - PU LUONG

Begin your day with a visit to Kho Muong Village, where you'll walk through picturesque rice fields and scenic countryside to the Bat Cave, immersing yourself in the natural beauty. After exploring, visit Lan Village, where you can observe the intricate art of traditional brocade weaving. You'll get the chance to try weaving yourself under the guidance of local artisans. Day 5 - PU LUONG/NINH BINH

After breakfast, you'll travel to Ninh Binh, often referred to as "Ha Long Bay on land." The two-hour drive will take you through beautiful rural landscapes, lush rice paddies, and charming villages. You'll check into your hotel upon arrival and take a moment to refresh. In the evening, explore the ancient capital of Hoa Lu on foot, visiting temples dedicated to Vietnam's first kings and enjoying the serene dusk atmosphere. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 6 - NINH BINH

Day 7 - NINH BINH/HA LONG BAY (OVERNIGHT CRUISE)

Depart early for Tuan Chau Harbor as you make your way to Ha Long Bay, known for its thousands of limestone islands and emerald waters. After a smooth speedboat transfer to your cruise ship, you'll embark on an unforgettable journey through the bay, with opportunities to explore hidden grottoes. The stunning views and peaceful ambiance make for an incredible day at one of Vietnam's most iconic natural wonders. Overnight on the cruise.

Day 8 - HA LONG BAY/HA NOI/HUE (flight)

Start your day with an early Tai Chi session on the cruise deck, followed by breakfast— enjoy a selection of coffee, tea, and breakfast pastries in the dining room, setting a serene tone for the morning ahead. After disembarking, you’ll head back to Ha Noi for your flight to Hue, where your guide will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

Note - Due to limited flights to Hue, our group will anticipate to arrive quite late, approximately 9pm. Today will be a long day.

Day 9 - HUE

After breakfast, we visit the historical Thien Mu Pagoda, a symbol of Hue. Following your visit, enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Perfume River to the Thuy Bieu Eco-village, where you'll explore a local market to gather fresh ingredients for your cooking class. Under the guidance of a skilled chef, you’ll learn to prepare traditional Hue dishes, culminating in a delightful meal made from your efforts. Overnight in Hue.

Day 10 - HUE/HOI AN

Departing Hue, you’ll drive south toward Hoi An, taking in breathtaking views along the Hai Van Pass. Stop for photos and to admire the coast before arriving in Hoi An. Check in at your hotel and unwind before heading to the Teh Dar Show in the evening, a captivating performance showcasing Vietnam's tribal culture through music and acrobatics. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11 - HOI AN

After breakfast, you'll journey to Tra Que Village for a hands-on culinary experience. You’ll learn about the history and cultivation of local vegetables. Participate in traditional farming activities before preparing dishes with a local family. Enjoy cooking specialties like Tam Huu spring rolls and Banh Xeo pancakes. This experience immerses you in the local culture and cuisine. Return to your hotel in Hoi An and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 12 - HOI AN

Spend a leisurely day in Hoi An, exploring at your own pace. You can choose to shop in the markets, relax at a beach, This day is all about unwinding and enjoying the charming atmosphere of this historic town. Overnight in Hoi An.

Optional - If you would like to visit Ba Na Hills theme park, the approximate cost is about 150USD (we will finalise it to AUD closer to final payment - this is for a full day tour with transfers, entry and lunch).

Day 13 - HOI AN/HO CHI MINH CITY (by flight)

After breakfast, we take an early morning drive (about 1.5hrs) to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, your local guide will welcome you and escort you to your hotel in the city center. Take some time to discover the vibrant atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City and later in the evening, we will have dinner together.

Day 14 - HO CHI MINH CITY

Embark on a fascinating cruise along the Mekong River, visiting one of the nearby islands. While enjoying local music and tea, you’ll taste fresh tropical fruits. Participate in a paddleboat ride through narrow canals and learn about coconut candy production before indulging in a delicious lunch with regional specialties, including Elephant-Ear Fish. Your day concludes with a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda, known for its unique architecture. Return to your hotel for a restful night.

Day 15 - HO CHI MINH CITY/HOME

Enjoy your final hours in Ho Chi Minh City this morning as we visit the Reunification Palace and Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral. Afterwards, you will have free time at Ben Thanh Market for your own lunch and last minute shopping . In the afternoon, we head to Tan Son Nhat airport for your flight home, thus concluding your memorable journey through Vietnam.
