Day 1 - HOME/GUANGZHOU

This morning, we board our overnight flight with China Southern Airlines enroute for Guangzhou.

Day 2 - GUANGZHOU/CHENGDU

After a short transit in Guangzhou, we board our flight bound for Chengdu, the vibrant capital of Sichuan Province known for its rich cultural heritage and culinary delights. After meeting with your local guide, we will head out for lunch, sampling some of the local specialties. In the afternoon, we'll visit People's Park, a serene oasis in the city where you can observe locals practicing tai chi and enjoying tea. Next, we'll explore Jinli Ancient Street, a charming pedestrian street filled with traditional architecture, shops, and food stalls. Then check in at hotel after dinner.

Day 3 - CHENGDU

Start your day with a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the beloved giant pandas in a naturalistic environment, learning about the conservation efforts being made for this endangered species. If time permits after the Panda Base visit, you will have a bit of free time to relax.

Day 4 - CHENGDU/LESHAN/MOUNT EMEI

After breakfast, we drive towards Leshan to see the magnificent Leshan Giant Buddha, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a relaxing boat cruise for the best views of this remarkable statue carved into a cliff face. We settle in Mt Emei region tonight in preparation for our adventure the next morning.

Day 5 - MOUNT EMEI/CHENGDU

Embark on a cable car ride that will take you to the Golden Summit of Mount Emei, standing at 3077 meters. Here, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views and encounter golden statues that embellish the summit including Huazang Temple. After taking in the stunning scenery, return via cable car and enjoy a scenic drive back to Chengdu for a restful night.

Day 6 - CHENGDU/TRAIN TO CHUANZHUSI

After breakfast, we will take the train to Chuanzhusi - for this journey there is no need to take your large suitcases as they will be transported separately by Friendly Travel. Upon arrival in Chuanzhusi station, our group will check into the hotel and later, dinner will be served. For today, it is important to get plenty of rest to ensure you are ready for the adventures ahead since you will be heading to Huanglong/Jiuzhaigou the next day.

Important - High in altitude (up to 4000m above sea level).

Day 7 - CHUANZHUSI/HUANGLONG/JIUZHAIGOU

Spend the morning at Huanglong National Scenic Reserve, where you can start by taking a cable car to appreciate breathtaking elevated views of the vibrant landscape. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely walk along the gentle boardwalks that wind through the stunning natural scenery. Following a delicious lunch, set off on a scenic drive to Jiuzhaigou, which takes up to two hours. Upon arrival at your accommodation, take some time to relax and prepare for the exciting explorations planned for tomorrow.

Day 8 - JIUZHAIGOU

Dedicate the day to exploring the breathtaking wonders of Jiuzhaigou Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its vibrant landscapes and stunning natural beauty. Take advantage of the convenient hop-on, hop-off shuttle bus system that provides easy access to the park's spectacular highlights. Marvel at the majestic Nuorilang Waterfall, with its cascading tiers and crystal-clear waters that create a serene atmosphere. Continue your journey to the mesmerizing Shuzheng Lakes, where vibrant shades of turquoise and emerald reflect the surrounding mountains. After a day filled with awe-inspiring sights and unforgettable experiences, return to your hotel to relax and reflect on the beauty you’ve encountered, recharging for the adventures ahead.

Day 9 - JIUZHAIGOU/CHENGDU

This morning after our breakfast, we start to make our way back to Chengdu for the next adventure. Our group will transfer back to the train station for our journey back to Chengdu. For the train ride, there is no need to take your large suitcases as they will be transported separately by Friendly Travel.

Upon arrival, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel near Tianfu Airport and then allow time for rest and dinner.

Day 10 - CHENGDU/ENSHI CITY/XUAN’EN

After breakfast we will walk a short distance to Tianfu Airport to board our flight bound for Enshi airport. Please note, this is a flight which involves a few hours stopover in Wuhan since there are no direct flights. Your local guide will be on hand to greet you upon arrival and then we drive to Xuan'en to visit the Gongshui River. To wrap up the day, enjoy a scenic night cruise on the Gongshui River, taking in the breathtaking views of this illuminated city.

Day 11 - XUAN’EN/HEFENG/ENSHI

Embark on a day excursion to Hefeng County, where you can explore the stunning landscapes of Pingshan Grand Canyon, renowned for its deep gorges and natural bridges. Today’s visit will also include a scenic boat ride through the canyon. Take the day to admire the scenery before heading back to Enshi City for the afternoon.

Day 12 - ENSHI CITY

After breakfast, we will set out for the stunning Enshi Grand Canyon, where you'll have the chance to walk along scenic boardwalks and take a picturesque boat ride through the canyon’s breathtaking landscapes. In the afternoon, we'll drive to Daughter City (Ernancheng) cultural park, where you can immerse yourself in the rich local culture and history through traditional architecture and exhibits. After this enriching day, we will return to your hotel in Enshi City to relax and reflect on your experiences.

Day 13 - ENSHI CITY

Spend the day exploring the captivating Subuya Stone Forest, part of the Suobuya National Geopark. Enjoy gentle walks among the unique karst rock formations that resemble natural sculptures. Afterwards, our group will visit Hubei Enshi Xin’gu (Heart of the Earth Valley) - this area is renowned for its deep canyons and unique alpine karst gorge landforms. Once here, experience the glass suspension bridge and “magic carpet” cloud bridge. Back to hotel in the afternoon.

Day 14 - ENSHI CITY

Start your leisurely morning at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Tusi Castle, where you can explore its rich cultural significance and history. Admire the majestic architecture that reflects the blend of Han and indigenous cultures, and engage with knowledgeable local guides who share stories about the castle’s importance and the governance system of the Tusi people. Afterwards, we will head to head to the Qingjiang River for a relaxing boat tour. Enjoy the scenic "Hundred Miles of Qingjiang River Picture Gallery," with its karst mountains and traditional stilt houses.

Day 15 - ENSHI/WUHAN

This morning, we board our direct flight to Wuhan. Upon arrival, visit East Lake Tingtao Scenic Area for beautiful views before heading to Guiyuan Temple, known for its serene atmosphere and intricate architecture. Next, explore the iconic Yellow Crane Tower, offering stunning vistas of the Yangtze River, followed by a stroll through Hubu Alley to sample local street foods. If time permits, we may also visit Guyuan Buddhist Temple and Magnolia Mountain for additional scenic experiences.

Day 16 - WUHAN/GUANGZHOU

This morning, we bid farewell to Wuhan as we board our flight to Guangzhou, a vibrant city known for its rich history and dynamic culture. Explore the bustling street markets and local eateries, where you can savour famous Cantonese dishes such as dim sum and roasted meats. Don't miss the opportunity to visit high-end shopping districts and traditional shops, where you can find everything from luxury brands to unique local crafts. Stroll along the Pearl River, take in the beautiful skyline, and immerse yourself in the city's atmosphere, indulging in the diverse experiences that make Guangzhou a culinary and shopping paradise.
